COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Tricks, Trucks and Treats

What do you get when you mix trick-or-treating with a touch-a-truck event? Truck-or-Treat, of course! Crystal Lake Park District’s annual event was a pumpkin-smashing success once again this year & our TWO MEN AND A JUNK TRUCK crew were thrilled to join in the fun.

Held each October at Main Beach Park in Crystal Lake, Truck-or-Treat is a free, family-friendly event that draws crowds from all over the area. Kids – adults and pets, too – get a chance to show off their Halloween costumes and, at the same time, check out a variety of service & specialty vehicles. And don’t forget the candy! There’s always candy (so much candy!) and prizes for everyone.

Of course we brought our junk removal truck, along with plenty of Halloween spirit. Parked alongside our sister company, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Moving & Storage, we proved to be a popular stop. We were also joined by police, fire and a bookmobile, among others. Mother Nature even played nice (always a bonus in Illinois) and provided a perfect crisp fall morning.

All in all, it was an awesome day at the beach, and we were grateful for the invite. Looking forward to next year!
