The Week Before Thanksgiving: What Our Crews See Inside Sacramento Garages

November 6, 2026

The week before Thanksgiving is one of the busiest stretches. When you finally open the garage door all the way and realize they have no idea where to start!

The Call Usually Comes Late

Most of the requests before Thanksgiving are unplanned. They come from people who meant to deal with the garage back in the spring and are now out of time. The good news is that a cleanout doesn't need weeks of lead time. One of our prior customers, Amber, said: "They communicated their arrival time and were right on time. Very friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable as well. I’ll definitely use them again for any future needs."

A clear arrival window is what makes a last-minute job workable. When you are hosting in four days, the thing you cannot afford is not knowing when the truck shows up.

What Is Actually In There?

The most common items we pull out in November are the ones people stopped using but never got rid of. Patio furniture. A treadmill from a resolution that lasted three weeks. Broken appliances. Boxes from a move that happened years ago. The accumulated odds and ends that come from living in the same house for a decade.

What looks manageable from the doorway usually fills a good portion of the truck once it is out on the driveway. That is why we only quote on site. We look at what needs to go, answer your questions, and give you a clear number before anything gets loaded.

Brian described the front end of the process this way: "The entire experience was wonderful. From the time I called, to scheduling, to the price. The gentlemen were very polite and professional."

Judy's review gets at exactly that: "Derrick, Robert and Caleb went above and beyond, you rarely see that kind of service and it is very much appreciated! I will recommend your company to others and use you again if need be."

Tom did exactly that: "A++++ !! I could not be happier! The 2 young men went way beyond my expectations! Did more than expected! Friendly, polite, and, very hard workers!"

That is the standard we hold the crews to. Everyone on the team is background-checked, professionally trained, and in uniform

Before the Family Arrives

If your garage, spare room, or backyard is holding things you have been meaning to deal with, the week before Thanksgiving is a good time to finally deal with it. Tell us roughly what you have and we will set up a time to come take a look. The lifting, the loading, and the hauling are our part.

From our team, we hope you have a warm, calm, and a restful Thanksgiving.
