What Happens to Your Junk After We Haul It Away?

After the Pickup

Once everything is loaded into our truck, the next step is sorting the materials. Not everything we collect ends up in a landfill.

Whenever possible, we look for opportunities to recycle or donate items through our landfill diversion program. Our goal is to keep as much material out of the landfill as possible while giving usable items a second life.

Recycling Materials

Many of the items we remove contain recyclable materials. Metal items, in particular, are often separated and taken to local recycling facilities such as OmniSource. Recycling helps reduce waste while ensuring valuable materials can be reused instead of discarded.

Donating Usable Items

Some items may no longer be wanted by their owners but still have plenty of life left in them. Through our landfill diversion efforts, we work to donate qualifying items to local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill whenever possible.

Furniture, household goods, and other gently used items can often benefit someone else in the community instead of ending up in a disposal site.

Responsible Disposal

While we strive to recycle and donate as much as we can, some items simply can't be reused. When that's the case, we make sure materials are disposed of properly and in accordance with local regulations.

By combining recycling, donations, and responsible disposal practices, we're able to reduce waste and provide a more environmentally conscious junk removal service.
