Spring cleaning can seem like a mammoth task. But don't worry! We've got some room-specific spring cleaning tips to help you tackle house cleaning with ease:

Kitchen:  Deep spring clean your appliances and cabinets. Clean out your refrigerator, oven, stovetop, and microwave. And don't forget those cabinet, handles, and knobs. Wipe down the basin and fixtures of the sink using warm, soapy water and a sponge. Rinse along the edge of the basin. Remove water stains from the fixtures. For tougher stains, use a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar for a more thorough cleaning service. Run the garbage disposal regularly to prevent clogs. Sanitize it by dropping frozen vinegar cubes and pouring boiling water; this also sharpens the disposal blades.

Bathroom: Tackle mold and mildew with a thorough spring clean list of a water-vinegar house cleaning mixture. Clean your showerhead, toilet, and sink thoroughly. Pour an ample amount of white vinegar into a plastic grocery bag (enough to fully submerge the showerhead nozzle) and tie it in place for an overnight soaking. For housecleaning plastic shower curtains and liners, spin them in the washing machine with regular detergent and a few old towels to scrub away soap scum and mildew. For window cleaning shower doors, make a paste by adding a few drops of distilled white vinegar to a cup of baking soda. Apply it directly to the door, let it sit for an hour, then rub it with a microfiber cloth. Pour white vinegar or baking soda down the drain and flush with hot water to keep it clean. For the faucet, standard maid service cleaning and house cleaning services use disposable disinfecting wipes to significantly reduce bacteria. Use an antibacterial toilet bowl cleaner and make sure to use disposable antibacterial wipes on the toilet surfaces to make your house cleaner.

Bedroom: Refresh your bedding and declutter your room while the laundry is running. Donate or discard clothes you no longer wear and organize your closet for a neat and tidy bedroom. Start your day by making your bed. Straighten throw pillows and blankets for a tidy appearance. Place dirty clothes in the laundry hamper or basket. Clear any clutter from nightstands, dressers, and other visible areas. Put away clean clothes and cleaning supplies that may be lying around. Empty the trash can. Dust ceiling fans and light fixtures. Wipe down surfaces, furniture, home decor, and electronics. Change sheets and pillowcases. Vacuum the floor, paying extra attention to the area around your bed. These regular practices help eliminate maid service cleaning and make for great house cleaning projects.

Living Room: Use a horsehair vacuum attachment to tackle dust buildup on blinds. Vacuum both sides of the blinds. For ceiling fans, an old pillowcase is your secret weapon. Wipe each fan blade gently by dragging it inside the pillowcase to catch the dust. Vacuum fabric surfaces on couches, recliners, and loveseats. Use pre-moistened electronic wipes for a smudge-free TV screen. Vacuum the entire living room, starting from the farthest corner and working your way out. If you have hardwood floors, consider using a Bissell Swivel Upright Bagless Vacuum, which works well on both hard and soft floors and makes great assets for spring house cleaning.

Garage: When cleaning out the garage, start by setting a clear goal: declutter, maximize storage, or create an organized space. Separate items to keep from those to donate, sell, or discard. In order to clean the garage floor, remove oil stains using cat litter and dish soap, and address mold with diluted bleach or vinegar. Mop the walls from top to bottom. Add overhead storage by elevating plastic bins to the ceiling using 2x2s and 1x4s to round out the garage cleanout. Create a ball corral for sports gear and use hooks for smaller items. Maximize wall space with flexible storage and maintain regular cleaning routines for a perfect garage clean out.

Attic: A clean attic can be especially tricky to a house clean project, especially in hotter months when warm air rises to the top levels of your home. You may want to consider house cleaning in the late evening or the early morning for maximum safety. Speaking of safety, before starting, wear a mask, gloves, and safety glasses to shield against allergens during attic cleaning. Step on floor joists if the attic lacks solid flooring. Bring necessary items into the attic to save trips. Use a bright light source for visibility. Remove boxes, bags, and furniture for easier window cleaning. Consolidate large items in one corner. Begin dusting at the highest point—beams, fixtures, walls, and window frames. Clean attic windows inside and out. Remove treatments and wash them or send them to a dry cleaner. Regular attic cleaning maintains air quality and promotes healthier clean attic living space and eliminates the need for regular home cleaning services and a maid service.

Basement: Like an attic, basements often require special attention and consideration. Once again, it is extremely important to wear a mask, gloves, and safety glasses to shield against allergens such as mold and mildew. Begin at the highest point. Clear cobwebs, wash light fixtures, and dust surfaces. Work your way down, including windows and baseboards. Finish by vacuuming the space.
